Obituary of Marilyn Densie Sanders-Johnson

Please share a memory of Marilyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

The world mourned the loss of a cherished mother and grandmother, Marilyn Denise Sanders-Johnson, on March 8, 2025.

Born on August 22, 1954, in New Boston, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of Ed Sheppard Jr. and Avril E. Sanders-Nelson.

Despite her battle with breast cancer, Marilyn never allowed it to hinder her enjoyment of life.

She was a radiant presence for all who had the honor of knowing her. Her life was characterized by love, compassion, and steadfast faith in God.

Her departure has created a profound emptiness in the hearts of her family, friends, and countless others who were fortunate enough to be touched by her kindness.

Marilyn is survived by her sons, Kenneth V. Sanders of Phoenix, Arizona, and Stanley E. Washington of Texarkana, Texas, along with her daughter, JahKeimi Westmoreland.

She leaves behind three grandchildren: Kenyetta Sanders of Texarkana, Texas, Jon'Treka Westmoreland of Mississippi, and Lorenzo Westmoreland of Texarkana, Texas.

Additionally, she is survived by six great-grandchildren: Ryleigh, Kallye, and Ace Karter Cardwell of Texarkana, Texas, as well as D'Aryeh, Cayjha Williams, and Khiyler Griffin of Mississippi.

Marilyn also had a close-knit family of aunts, uncles, and cousins who cherished her vibrant spirit.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ed, and her husband, Bobby Ray Johnson.

In 2015, Marilyn retired from Rotech Medical Billing Center, where she served as a billing supervisor.

Her colleagues remember her as a warm-hearted individual who always brightened their days with humor and laughter.

She possessed a unique ability to bring joy to others, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.

Though Marilyn's physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those she left behind.

May her memory serve as a blessing, and may we honor her legacy of love and compassion in our actions.

As you embark on your eternal journey, Marilyn, your light will forever illuminate our hearts.
