Remembering Betty
“Mamma, Me maw, Sue Betty, Betty Sue, Mary Lena, Beasley, Baba, Mrs. Beva, Mrs. Betty.”
Betty Sue Beasley was born August 16, 1938, to the parentage of the late Ralph Beasley Sr. and the late Luvenia Thompson Beasley in Columbia, County, Arkansas. Betty peacefully departed this earthly life into the arms of a loving Savior on Sunday,June 15, 2025, at her home surrounded by family.
Sister Beasley obeyed the gospel under the guidance of Brother N. L. Evans at the Westside Church of Christ, Waldo, Arkansas. She attended McKamie Road Church of Christ, and later moved membership to Dodson Street Church of Christ in Nashville, Arkansas until her health failed. A devoted Christian woman whose heart and home nurtured generations, she was more than a babysitter—she was a second mother, a guiding hand, and a silent force behind the success of countless children who would grow to become doctors, teachers, nurses, principals, and police officers. Betty's legacy is one of unwavering faith, boundless compassion, and qulet strength. A lifelong servant of God, she was faithful to His Kingdom and lived each day with purpose, grace, and love.
Betty found joy in the simple pleasures of life—working puzzles, traveling, cooking soulful meals, and gathering with friends for card games and dominoes. Her home was always filled with warmth, and laughter. Whether watching her favorite shows like ''In the Heat of the Night" or her cherished movies "Pretty Woman and Just Wright': she savored life's small joys and shared them freely.
She was preceded in death by her siblings four brothers: Charles, Ellis,]ames, and Wilbur Beasley and two sisters: Margie Thompson and Omle Jean Beasley.
Betty Sue Beasley, leaves those who loved her with cherished memories: a daughter, Deborah Mayfield-(Sam) Evans; grandson, Jonathan Mayfield ; granddaughter, Danielle (Michael)Alexander; brothers, Robert Beasley Sr., Ralph Beasley Jr., and Joe Beasley Scott; great-grandchildren, nine extended family members, The Smith, The Gaines, The Curry, The Surratt, The Bell, and The Wyrick Families; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
