Eddie Ray Hill Jr. Obituary
Eddie Ray Hill Jr. was born on August 5, 1978. He was a devoted husband,
loving father, cherished son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend whose presence
brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.
On April 13, 2013, Eddie married the love of his life, Atura Trotter of Ashdown, Arkansas. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around faith, family, and love. Eddie was the proud father of his son, Eddie Ray Hill
III, (Repete) born June 7, 2006, and his daughter, Emory Rae Hill, born February 24, 2018.
At a young age, Eddie accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized at Evergreen Baptist
Church in Nash, Texas. On August 28, 2011, he became a member of Church of the Living
God Temple #4. Throughout his life, Eddie continued to attend and worship in fellowship with others while remaining grounded in his faith and belief in God.
Eddie worked at Texarkana Aluminum beginning in 2021. He also carried a deep passion for continuing his family’s legacy through Eddie Hill’s Car Care. Cars were more than a hobby to Eddie — they were one of his greatest loves. Whether working on them, talking about them, or admiring them, he found joy in everything automotive. He was also a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Eddie was known as the favorite uncle, favorite nephew, the fun cousin, and a loyal friend to
many. He had a way of making people smile, feel welcome, and feel loved. His kindness,
humor, and caring spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Eddie leaves to cherish his precious memories: his loving wife, Atura Hill; his son, Eddie Ray Hill III; and his daughter, Emory Rae Hill. He is also survived by his mother, Aldonia Hill; his father, Eddie Hill Sr.; and stepmother, Kay Hill. He also leaves behind his sister, Kayla Brown (Ronderick); stepbrother, Brett McDonald (Lea); aunt, Janie Fort; uncles, Slyvester “Joe” Hill and John “Ducky” Hill; aunt, Shirley Hill (Henry); nieces, Cierra Hunter, Kaydence Hunter, Kendall Washington, and Breayah McDonald; nephew, Brett McDonald II; along with a host of cousins,
extended family members, and dear friends.
Though Eddie’s earthly journey has ended, his love, laughter, and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of all who loved him.
