The Life & Legacy of Don Kent Rhone

Don Kent Rhone, age 68, of Desoto, Texas, passed away from this life on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. He was born on February 8, 1958, in Ogden, Arkansas, to the late Timothy Rhone Sr. and Alice (Ware) Rhone.

Don met his wife Virginia Raye in October 1999. They were married on May 27, 2000, and remained together until his passing. Don had a passion for fishing, teaching both his wife and his great grandsons how to fish. He enjoyed setting out his "coon" traps in the fall and winter. He was a people person, never encountering a stronger. Don worked in construction until health issues forced him to retire, a profession he truly loved. He contributed to the construction of the new Dallas Cowboy stadium in Arlington, Tx.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Timothy Rhone Sr. and Alice (Ware) Rhone; his sister, Sarah Breedlove; his brothers, "Billy" Parker E Rhone and James Rhone; and his son, Sydney Walker.

Don is survived by his wife, Virginia Raye Rhone, of Desoto Texas; one brother, Timothy Rhone Jr (Faye). of Texarkana AR; two sisters, Helen Ward and Tanya Rhone of Texarkana, AR; six daughters, Marica "Moo Moo" Rhone of Kansas City, MO; Antoinette Nichols (Ernest Sr) of Killeen, Tx; Shatina Brown (Rayshawn) of DeSoto, Tx; Tanaya Webb (Jeffery) of Lawrenceville, GA; Stephanie Bowles, and Regina Ellis of Dallas, Tx; one son, Eugene Pierson III (Cassandra) of Texarkana, TX; along with a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
