Grant Walker, 65, of Texarkana, Ark., passed away Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, in Texarkana. Mr. Walker was born Dec. 12, 1950, in Ashdown, Ark. He was a log hauler and a farmer. He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Walker. His survivors include one son, Demetrick Sims of Texarkana; six daughters, Markita Walker, Thalisa Walker, Veronica Walker, Guikima Walker and Margaritia Thompson of Texarkana and Kristy Jones of Ashdown; six brothers, Alf Walker Jr., Jhonny Walker, Willie D. Walker, Sammie Walker and Willis Walker of Texarkana and Danny Walker of Denton, Texas; four sisters, Ann Lou Walker of Dallas, Ida Walker of Ogden, Ark., Mattie Covington of Ashdown and Nancy Rowe of Texarkana; 20 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. His services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Red Oak Grove Baptist Church, Ashdown, with the Rev. Scott Luckey officiating. Burial will be in Red Oak Grove Cemetery under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
