Terry Lane Nelson of Texarkana, Arkansas, born August 12, 1961 to JC and Gladys Nelson, took life’s departure May 14, 2024. Family knew Terry as a loving, good-natured, courageous soul who had a contagious laugh that would have you guffawing so hard you’d be in tears.

In existence, Terry adored his family and enjoyed watching his favorite martial artist (Bruce Lee) on television. Terry, also known to some as Cool Cat, was fond of traveling, hunting, listening to music, collecting pellet/BB guns and anything he was convinced to be in vogue.

He was preceded in departure of life by his father and mother, JC and Gladys Nelson; grandparents, MJ and Pearl Nelson, Tony Drake and Mable Drake; brother, Earvin Drake; nephew, Bakari Nelson; and brother-in-law, Eric Moore.

Terry is survived by:

Grandchildren: La’Zavier Jones, Ja’Kaylin Walker, Demarkus Wesley Jr. & Laithan Wesley all of Atlanta, TX

Siblings: Geraldine Scott (Kasey) of Irving, TX; Sandra Scoggins (Randy) of Texarkana, AR; and Sherian Moore of Texarkana, TX

A number of nieces, nephews, great and great-great expecting.

Terry walked his journey and completed his purpose in life. He was loved and with great emptiness his memories shall live on. Though many will cry and mourn the loss of him. The Bible teaches, death is not the end, but a transition to a new and better way of life with God.
