In Loving Memory of Barbara Nadine Lewis (1945-2024)

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Nadine Lewis, who left this world on December 6, 2024,

in Houston, Texas, at the age of 79.

Barbara was born in Texarkana, Texas to her parents, Theresa and Alphonso, but it was her grandparents, Leola

and Taylor Gurley, who affectionately raised her. Her loving siblings are Al Gene Gurley, Dedria Leola Davis, and

Emma Lou Reagor.

Barbara embodied creativity, humor, and innovation. Her incredible spirit shined through in every aspect of her life.

Barbara's dedication and selflessness served as a guiding light for her children, teaching them the importance of

perseverance and unwavering focus in achieving their goals. Her Legacy is one of love, guidance, laughter, and

priceless stories that have enriched the lives of those around her. Her presence will be dearly missed, but her

memory will forever be cherished by her family.

She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Louis C. Gurley. She is survived by her eldest son, Christopher D.

Gurley; her youngest daughter, Brittera G. Lewis; her eldest daughter, Errica N. Jones, her son-in-law, Jimmie H.

Jones, and her grandchildren, Jazmine, Nicolas, Imani, Justin, and Addyson.

We love our Mother and MeMom for the whole beautiful person she was. May her soul rest in peace.
