To Silla (Sal), Clarence (Shortman), Jeannie, Square, Susie and Bobbie and the rest of my family. My heart is full as I send you my heart felt condolence. We have suffered a loss but we all know that she is in a better place for we know she is in Heaven. I thank GOD for this beautiful life that he shared with us. As I look at these photos today I am reminded of a much younger woman raising and guiding my cousin Tony and helping to mold the life of two little neices and a nephew who lived across the street. Mrs. Nancy helped to mold my christian walk and faith in Jesus. I can remember seeing her dressed (Sharp as a tack!) Suit, shoes and handbag matching along with a matching handkerchief. (Ladies of that generation always had a beautiful lace handkerchief for church). Sometimes we would run to catch up and walk with her. She would stroll the short walk to church, head held high. I remember on the Sundays that she ushered she would have on a pristine, white suit with matching gloves and when I joined the ushered board I could not wait to wear those gloves! Mrs. Nancy taught me and guided me in being an usher for my church and I hope I did her proud. She occasionally taught us Sunday school as well, teaching us the bible and her love for Jesus. I have so many memories... I remember her love for fishing as well. I'm going to stop now for I could go on forever with memories but they are good memories and I thank God for them. Mrs. Nancy was blessed by the Holy Spirit to have been on this earth for a long and productive life and she was loved by all who knew her. I love her and I will miss her. My prayers are with all of you at this time. Psalms 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

To Sal,Shortman,Jeannie,Square,Susie, and Bobbie and other members of the Watson Family, How very sorry I was to hear of Ms.Nancy passing. My thoughts and prayers, and those of so many others who knew her, are with you at this sad and difficult time. Your mother was blessed with so many wonderful experiences and a long and productive life. You must feel blessed as well to have had her a part of your life for so long. Our faith tells us that God is showering his blessings on you at this very moment as well. The Bible says "Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted." I pray that you will find peace and comfort in these words and that God will give you the strength and courage to go on. God Bless You and your wonderful family. Yours In Faith. Jeannie, Sal, and the rest of the family - I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. After many years removed from Texarkana, I was truly delighted to see Jeannie in Dallas for the Dunbar All-School Reunion last summer. I so enjoyed for the visit she and I had in the hotel lobby. There she and I went --- back down Memory Lane! And right in the mix of it all, she spoke with adoration about her mom. I learned then that Mrs. Nancy had become ill (and I was reminded of what a good-looking woman she was -- a sentiment I shared with Jeannie.) So Family, though your heads are hung low and your hearts are torn, remember joy comes in the morning. My hope for you is that this, too, will pass. Be grateful for the time you had with her and cherish the beautiful memories of her always. Meanwhile, I'll be praying for you.
