Birdie Mae Maxwell, 81, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died April 19, 2013 in Texarkana, Arkansas. Mrs. Maxwell was born in Waldo, Arkansas. She was a member of the Deliverance Temple C.O.G.I.C., and she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents her parents, Looney Hardiman and Sultina Beasley; her husband, Alton Earl Mixon; and a son, Michael Mixon. She is survived by four sons: Lenward Mixon, of Texarkana, Bobby Mixon of Texarkana, Clarence Mixon of Brinkley, Arkansas, and Willie Mixon of Brinkley, Arkansas; seven daughters: Shirley Keeton of Texarkana, Norma Henderson of Nash, Texas, Lynn Mixon of Texarkana, Brenda Mixon of Texarkana, Dorothy Maxwell of Texarkana, Jacqueline Carr of Texarkana, and Cheryl Mixon of Texarkana; one brother, Chester Hardiman of Detroit, Michigan; three sisters: Annie Rae Belin of Las Vegas, Nevada, Cherrie Ann Lynn of Dallas, Texas, and Jean Biddle of Waldo, Arkansas; 30 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 55 great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
