Obituary of Jimmy Hammick

Jimmy Hammick, 56, of Hooks, Texas, departed this life Saturday, June 8, 2013 at a local hospital. On February 20, 1957, Jimmy Lee Hammick was born in Hooks, Texas to Mae Lou Hammick and John Winters. Mr. Hammick was a Christian who worshipped at the House of Jacob. His mother, Mae Lou Hammick, preceded him in death. He is survived by one son: Lazavion Jayshawn Hammick (Texarkana, Texas); his father: John Winters (Columbus, Ohio); his Stepfather: Joel Daniels (Hooks, Texas); four brothers: Charles Ray Wright (New Boston, Texas), Jimmy Roger Wright Michigan), Jimmy Ray Hock (Georgia), and Jimmy Wayne Daniels (Las Vegas, Nevada); six sisters: Leatrice Battle and Leaslie Kellum (both of Columbus, Ohio), Vera Hughes (California), Lawanda Fisher (Hooks, Texas), and Eddie Mae Herron and Pasty Daniels (both of Las Vegas, Nevada); four great aunts; three great uncles, including one special uncle, Reese Bledsoe (Minneapolis, Minnesota); and a host of other relatives and friends.
