Obituary of John Holmes

John A. Holmes, 78, departed this life June 23, 2013 in Texarkana, Texas. Mr. Holmes was born in Texarkana, Texas. He was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church, an employee of Red River Army Depot, and a graduate of Dunbar High School. He was predeceased by his wife: Cloteil Criner-Holmes; one son: Ricky Holmes; his parents: Louissa Wiley and Robert Holmes; three brothers: Earnest Holmes, Vernon Holmes, and McKinley Richardson; five sisters: Robbie Holmes, Ruby Mae Lee, Mary Ivory, Dorothy Peters, and Christine Holmes. Those left to cherish his memory are: four sons: Anthony Holmes of Albuquerque, New Mexico, John (Patricia) Holmes of Grand Prairie, Texas, Tracy Holmes of Arlington, Texas, Jeffrey (Juanita) Holmes of Woodbridge, Virginia; two daughters: Patricia (Ben) Smith of Texarkana, Texas and Pamela (Keith) Edwards of Hempstead, New York; and eleven grandchildren.
