James Arthur Cuba went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, following an illness at Wadley Hospital.
He leaves to mourn his tremendous loss, his son, Jamey Giddens of Atlanta, GA; his twin sister, Joan Bland (Keith) of Texarkana, Texas; sisters, Margaret Green (Joe) of Texarkana, AR; Martha Holt of Houston, Texas and Mattie Jean Cuba (Joe) of DeKalb, Texas. His parents, Robert and Ida Pauline Cuba; one sister, Francis Salter and three brothers, Robert Cuba, Jr., Willie Dean Cuba and Marvin Holt, all preceded him in death. James also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, including special niece, Kinya Arcleese of Houston, Texas and special nephew, Jermone Cuba of DeKalb, Texas.
James was a star athlete at DeKalb High School, until he was tragically paralyzed in 1978. Although he remained in a wheelchair his entire adult life, he lived his life to the fullest, developing a deep and abiding love for the Lord.
