Jack Galbert Sr., "Lil Brother," 69, of DeKalb, Texas, departed this life October 3, 2013 in Texarkana, Texas. Jack Walker Galbert Sr. "Lil Brother" was born April 26, 1944 in DeKalb, Texas to the union of the late Caldonia Proby and Tom Galbert. He united with Dotson Street Church of Christ at an early age. Mr. Galbert united with Dotson Street Church of Christ at an early age. He was a 1962 graduate of Marvin Pynes High School in DeKalb, Texas. Jack loved playing in the Soulful Young Band with his brothers. At one time, he was employed with Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant and T.L. James Construction Company. Jack was preceded in death by one brother: David Galbert of Texarkana, Arkansas; one sister: Evelyn Blackwell of DeKalb, Texas. He is survived by: His wife: Murel Galbert of DeKalb, Texas One Son: Jack Walter Galbert Jr. of Idabel, Oklahoma Three Daughters: NeZola Galbert of Texarkana, Texas Vanita Bohannon of DeKalb, Texas Evelyn(Randy) Culberson of New Boston, Texas Two Brothers: Willie (TiKita) Proby Jr. of DeKalb, Texas George (Freddie) Proby (Freddie) of DeKalb, Texas Eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
