Obituary of Bennie Butler

Bennie Lee Butler Jr., 46, of Kildare, Texas, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 2, 2013. Mr. Butler was born May 14, 1966, in Kildare. He was a truck driver, a member of St. John Baptist Church and an Army veteran. Survivors include two sons, Travonta Butler of New York and Jason Butler of Atlanta, Texas; his mother, Luevenia Butler; four sisters, Wynda Thompson and Bobbie hopes of Kildare, Pamela Chambers of Livingston, Texas, and Jacklyn Williams of Cedar Hill, Texas; one brother, Osborne Howard of Kildare; his grandmother, Alice Caldwell; one special friend, Dedrier Darty; three grandchildren; two uncles; 14 nieces and nephews; 21 great-nieces and great-nephews; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 12:30 p.m. Sunday at St. John Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Roderick Hopes officiating. Burial will be in Ferrell Cemetery, Kildare, under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
