Obituary of Richard Gordon

Richard Earl Gordon, 87, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at his home. Mr. Gordon was born May 17, 1927, in Grenada, MS. He was a concrete finisher. Survivors include his wife, Annie Bell Owens Gordon of Water Valley, MS.; two daughters, Gertrude Jefferson of Texarkana and Annie Pearl Caldwell of Water Valley; three brothers, Lawrence Gordon of Alton, IL., Paul Mayaue and Frank Mayaue of Grand Rapids, MI.; 10 sisters, Emmer D. Hundley, Alice Sanders and Ella Mae Telford of Alton, Ruthie M. Blue of Charleston, MS., Minnie Ricks of Carthage, MS, Joyce Mayaue, Cleophias Mayaue, Mary Mayaue and Tammie Mayaue of Grand Rapids, MI., and Helen Galarza Mayaue of Irving, TX; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Richardson Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe N. Rochelle officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. today at the funeral home.
