Obituary of Shannon Ivery

Shannon Thomas Ivery, 49, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, in Texarkana, Ark. Mrs. Ivery was born June 27, 1964, in Texarkana. She was a cashier with Comet Cleaners and a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Odis "Mickey" Ivery of Texarkana; four stepsons, Curtis Ivery and Odis R. Ivery of Arlington, Texas, and Terrance Ivery and Genetry Ivery of Mansfield, Texas; seven brothers, Darrel Love, James Thomas and Gerald Thomas of Texarkana, Brian D. Thomas of Arlington, Mike Thomas of Hooks, Texas, Johnathan Thomas of Japan and Henry Johnson of Dallas; six sisters, Debra Carrigan, Lola Joseph, Essie Johnson and Barbara Richardson of Texarkana, Carolyn Wade of Houston and Billie Berry of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Betts officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Springs Cemetery under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home.
