Obituary of Geneva Allen

Geneva Allen, 91, of Domino, Texas, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, in Texarkana, Texas. Mrs. Allen was born Jan. 10, 1923, in Doddridge, Ark. She was a retired certified nurses aide and a member of Eastern Star and Springdale Church of God in Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Allen, five sons and five daughters. Survivors include three sons, Samuel Allen Sr. of Gallatin, Tenn., Cleon Allen of Pontiac, Mich., and Dale Allen of Flint, Mich.; four daughters, Jean Blake of Pontiac, Verna Neal of Queen City, Texas, Angela Lester and LaSondra Bailey of Texarkana; 37 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be noon Saturday at Enon First Baptist Church, Atlanta, Texas, with the Rev. Willie Simmington officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery, Doddridge, under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
