Obituary of Mattie Thomas

Mattie B. Thomas, 73, of Texarkana, Arkansas, departed this life Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in Oakland, Tennessee.
Ms. Thomas was born June 10, 1940, in Garland, Ark. She was retired from Day & Zimmerman and Lone Star Ammo Plant and a member of Mount Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Milton Thomas of Oakland; three brothers, Eddie Riles of Lileen, Texas, and Mac Charles "M.C." Riles and Samuel "Shine" Riles of Texarkana; two sisters, Verdia L. "Sister" Jackson and Ruthie L. Riles of Texarkana; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Richardson Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Walker Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Nash Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
