Obituary of Gregory Whigham

Fifty-four-year-old Gregory Allen "Poochie" Whigham of Texarkana, Texas, departed this life Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his home. Mr. Whigham was born March 4, 1961, in Venice, Calif. He was a mechanic and attended Deliverance Temple COGIC. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Whigham of Texarkana; two sons, Rodrick Hurd and Gregory Cochran of Texarkana; three daughters, Tanisha Cochran, Shamreka Liggiton and Ashely Jackson of Texarkana; his father, Aurthor Whigham of Venice; two brothers, Terry Whigham and Timothy Coleman of Texarkana; five sisters, Audrey Lue Henson of Dallas, Vickie Franklin, Tammie Coleman and Phyllis Cooks of Texarkana and Joyce Franklin of Ashdown, Ark.; three grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Deliverance Temple COGIC with Elder Phillip Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home.
