Mr. Robert Shavers, 66, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 in a local hospital He was a retired diesel mechanic for Curtis Motors, was and self-employed, and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was predeceased by his parents: his mother, Willis Shavers and his father, Fred. G. Shavers Sr. father; and one brother: Kenneth Shavers. Mr. Shavers is survived by his wife: Lorraine M. Shavers; seven daughters: Michele Shavers of Texarkana, Texas, ReBonda Shavers of Texarkana, Texas, Terrie L. Shavers of Texarkana, Texas, Tammy (Eric) Johnson of Forney, Texas, Trina Tasby of Garland, Texas, Porsha Tasby of Mesquite, Texas, and Artreca O'Guin of Mesquite, Texas; one son: Robert L. (Leslie) Shavers of Mesquite, Texas; three lbrothers: James Shavers of Pleasant Grove, Texas, Paul Shavers of Oakland, California, and Fred Shavers Jr of DeKalb, Texas; two sisters: Barbara A. Holloway of Oakland, California and Marion E. Archie of Oakland, California; twenty-one grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
