Rosie Sumpter, 60, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 in Texarkana, Texas.
Ms. Sumpter was born Feb. 21, 1954, in Texarkana, Ark. She attended Greater Heights Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Holmes of Durham, N.C., and Carlos Sumpter of Hayden, Calif.; one daughter, Latisha Sumpter of Texarkana; one brother and sister-in-law, A.C. and Flora Sumpter of Texarkana; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel and Floyd Jameson of Spencer, Okla.; and Mary and Leroy Paxton of Texarkana; one special friend, John Williams of Texarkana; and six grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Greater Heights COGIC with Elder Donald Vaughn and the Rev. David Elijah officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Chapel Cemetery under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
