Obituary of John Block

John Henry Block Jr. was born September 1, 1948 in Texarkana, Arkansas to the late John Block Sr. and Dorothy Block. He was the oldest boy of seven siblings. He united with College Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. John served as the pianist for the Sunday School, Baptist Training Union and the Youth Choir. John Jr. was a graduate of the Booker T. Washington High School Class of 1966. He leaves to cherish his memory, siblings Veronica (Charles) Dangerfield, Conrad Block Sr., LaVeda Block, Al (Debra) Block, Julian (Linda) Block, and Dorothy (Vernon) Cheatum; an aunt, Durell Richmond; and eight nephews, ten nieces & and a host of other relatives and friends.
