Obituary of Savannah Hill

Savannah Hill, 104, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away at a local hospital and in the midst of loved ones on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Mrs. Hill was born August 11, 1910 in Ogden, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of Clear Lake Baptist Church and Evergreen Baptist Church. Her survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law: Sylvester and Josephine Hill, Rev. Eddie and Kay Hill of Texarkana, and John D. and Adeline Hill; one daughter, Shirley Hill, and son-in-law, Henry; thirty grandchildren; fifty-four great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Ray Hill Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Red Springs Cemetery under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at 11th Street Baptist Church. The body may be viewed 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Macedonia Baptist Church.
