Obituary of Joe Runnels

Joe Runnel, 64, of Dallas, Texas, departed this life Monday, November 3, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Runnels was born Dec. 23, 1949, in Hooks, Texas. He was a laborer and a member of Church of God in Christ. Survivors include one son, Lavondrick Patterson of Fort Smith, Ark.; one brother, Delbert Runnels of Texarkana; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Linda and William Alexander, Blanchie and Carl Walker, Virginia and Charles Parks and Flora Washington of Texarkana; two grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Richardson Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. LaMarcus Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Online registration is at richardsonhillfuneralhome.com.
