L. D. James, 78, of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in Texarkana.
Mr. James was born Dec. 13, 1935, in Kiblah, Ark. He was retired from Cooper Tire.
Survivors include three sons, Frank Joshaway of Texarkana, Lenney James of Rockwall, Texas, and Frantonio James of Dallas; five daughters, Pamela Smith, Eva Miles, Aquroanette James and Rena Pree of Texarkana and Sudeane Huggins of Rowlett, Texas; one brother, Obadiaih James; two sisters, Geraldine Cartledge of Pennsylvania and Minnie Lee James; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Holy Temple COGIC with the Rev. Lenny D. James officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home.
The body may be viewed 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
