R.C. Garner, 69, of Marietta, Texas, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in a Texarkana hospital.
Mr. Garner was born Oct. 23, 1945, in Douglassville, Texas. He was a retired government contractor and a member of Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Garner of Marietta, Texas; one son, Larry Watson of Stockton, Calif.; two daughters, Demetrice Isom and Chateau Roberson of Atlanta, Texas; one brother, James Garner of Douglassville; five sisters, Velma McGary, Faye Carter and Linda Casteel of Marietta, Texas, and Norma Allen and Georgia Johnson of Atlanta; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Marietta, with the Rev. Lonnie Charles Bell Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Floyd Valley Cemetery under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home.
