Ollie Hurd, 98, of Texarkana, Texas, departed this life Monday, February 16, 2015 in Texarkana, Texas. Ms. Hurd was born December 16, 1916 in Austin, Texas. She was a member of Polly Chapel Baptist Church, a former employee of Lone Star Ammo, Red River Army Depot, and a Domestic. Her son, William "Willie" Hunter; mother, Gertrude Keys; father, Ezekiel Keys; two brothers, Louis Keys and Willie Noble; and three sisters, Ida Bell Keys Johnson, L.E. Porter, and Ruby Love preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Joyce Spiller "Larry" Christopher of Rockwall, Texas; two Godsons and their spouses, Charles "Helen" Spiller of Texarkana, Texas and Leroy "Doris" Spiller Jr. of Rowlett, Texas; two sisters-in-law Irene Keith and Etta Nobles of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. The visitation will be 3 p.m.-5 p.m., Friday, February 20, 2015, at the funeral home. The body may be viewed at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Polly Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, and the service at 11:30 will follow the visitation. Rev. Leroy Spiller Jr. will officiate, and the burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home.
