Betty Smith, 57, departed this life on Wednesday, September 9 2015 at her residence in Texarkana, Texas. Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 20, 1958, in Texarkana, Arkansas. She was a hair stylist and a member of Mount Zion First Baptist Church. Her survivors include two sons, Anthony Smith of Texarkana and Shamon Smith of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Keativa Smith of Texarkana; three brothers, Jimmy Smith and Willie Smith of Texarkana and Corzine Smith of Los Angeles; five sisters, Doris Ford, Mary Owens, Elizabeth Lane and Helen Sanders of Texarkana and Margret Criner of Los Angeles; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Her services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Mount Zion First Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. B.J. Rembert officiating, and her burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home. The visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
