Marion Duffie, 91, of Texarkana, Texas, departed this life at his home to enter his heavenly home on Saturday, October 17, 2015. Mr. Duffie was born May 24, 1924, in Floyd Valley, Texas. He was a retired postal worker, a member of Mount Orange Baptist Church, and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Lester Duffie. Survivors include his wife, Celia Duffie of Texarkana; one daughter-in-law, Betty Duffie; one granddaughter, Danna Duffie of Oxnard, Calif.; one grandson, Derrick Duffie of Hawaii; one great-grandson, Quinton Duffie of Oxnard; and a number of other relatives. His services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Mount Orange Baptist Church with the Rev. Lesley Brembry officiating. Burial will be in Red Springs Cemetery under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. today at the church. Online registration is at richardsonhillfuneralhome.com.
