John Murphy, 59, passed away October 29, 2015 in Texarkana. His parents, Rosie Lee Murphy Atkins of Foreman, Arkansas and Emitt Thurman Sr of Texarkana, Texas; one brother, Charles Murphy; and one sister, Juanita Murphy Bradley predeceased her. His is survived by two sons, Tremell Murphy (Kashandra) of Texarkana, Arkansas and Lamarcus Murphy of Texarkana, Texas; four daughters, Nakisha Elijah of Texarkana, Texas, Sherell Murphy of Texarkana, Arkansas, Latasha Johnson of Arlington, Texas, and LaShundra Harrison (Preston) of Texarkana, Texas; stepmother, Ella Mae Sanders Thurman of Texarkana, Texas; five brothers, Cornell Griffin of Texarkana, Texas, Emitt Thurman Jr (Barbara) of Texarkana, Texas, Barry Thurman (Renae) of Texarkana, Texas, Tracey Thurman of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and Warren Murphy of Springdale, Arkansas; three sisters, Jaquline Thurman of Texarkana, Texas, Tressa Thurman of Texarkana, Texas, and Labrethia Thurman Hill (Jeff) of Texarkana, Texas; twenty grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many other friends and relatives.
