Obituary of Melba Ellis

Melba Ellis, 63, departed this life October 29, 2015 in Texarkana. She was a member of Sunset Baptist Church. Her parents, Leverdia Witcher Bailey and Leroy Bailey; two brothers, William Hunter (Anita) of Detroit, Michigan and Wayne Bailey of Texarkana, Texas; and one sister, Lee Ethel Banks (J.C.) of Texarkana, Texas; preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Elbert Ellis of Texarkana, Texas; two sons: Elbert Ellis Jr (Shakira) of Aubrey, Texas and Gregory Ellis (Keisha) of Texarkana, Texas; three daughters: Ardra Ellis-Dixon (Marvin) of Texarkana, Texas, Victoria Gray (Kelton) of Texarkana, Texas, and Brianna Lewis (Kelvin) of Longview, Texas; brother-in-law, J.C. Banks of Texarkana, Texas; sister-in-law, Anita Hunter; eighteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
