Obituary of Jodie Dewberry

Jodie Dewberry Jr., 58, of New Boston, Texas, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at his home. Mr. Dewberry was born Aug. 19, 1957, in Hooks, Texas. He was a production worker and a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Darren Dewberry of Houston; three daughters, Adrianne Victoria Dewberry and Jody Monae Dewberry of Houston and Christen Cecile Estell of Hooks; his mother, Wordia Dewberry of Hooks; one brother, James Dewberry of Houston; five sisters, Debra Green and Edna William of Houston, Minnie Stephens and Annie Dewberry of Hooks and Mary Dewberry of Washington, D.C.; 10 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Red Bank Baptist Church, Hooks, with the Rev. Johnny Walker officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Online registration is at richardsonhillfuneralhome.com.
