James Seamster, 64, of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 at his home. Mr. Seamster was born Oct. 2, 1951, in Minden, La. He was employed with Richardson Waste Inc. He was preceded in death by one son, Damon Seamster. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn F. Seamster of Texarkana; three sons, Antonio Seamster and Dietrich Seamster of Shreveport, La., and Christopher Seamster of Helflin, La.; one stepson, Raliegh Lee of Texarkana; one daughter, DeAnna Seamster of Lake Charles, La.; one stepdaughter, LaBrethis Mathies of Mesquite, Texas; three brothers, Stephen Jackson of Sulphur, La., Vernice Seamster of Houston and Selester Seamster of Minden; one sister, Gloria Seamster of Minden; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church, Minden, with the Rev. Robbie Dell Williams officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home.
