Obituary of Lonnie Lewis

Lonnie Lee Lewis, 66, departed this life on March 4, 2011 at his home. Mr. Lewis was employed for 40 years in various positions at different companies. He was also a talented plumber and electrician. He was affiliated with the Clear Lake Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, choir member, trustee, and layman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Gladys Lewis. To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife of 50 years Elphenia Lewis; one daughter, Sandra Lewis-Bruce (Steve), of Texarkana, Arkansas; one brother, Johhny Ray Lewis of Texarkana, Texas; three sisters, Ruby C. Nash of Texarkana, Texas, Mable Hill of Texarkana, Texas, and Dr. Verna M. Lewis of Daleville, Virginia; two grandchildren, Zach Bruce and Brannon Bruce; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. The wake will be 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2010 at Richardson Hill Funeral Home, and the funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2010 at Macedonia Baptist Church. Pastor Larry D. Clardy will deliver the eulogy.
