Alma Jean Turner, 65, of Texarkana, Arkansas, departed this life Tuesday, April 6, 2011 at her home. She was affiliated with College Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Mae Turner and Samuel Marshall Turner. She is survived by two children, Michael Turner (Jessica) of Pomono, California and her daughter, Debra Turner of Texarkana, Arkansas; three brothers, Charlie Turner of Texarkana, Texas, Robert Gray of Austin, Texas, and Charles Garry Turner of Atlanta, Texas; three sisters, Linda Manning of Texarkana, Arkansas, Barbara Walker Scott of Dallas, Texas, and Mary Dockery of Texarkana, Arkansas; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one special friend, Roy Lee Jefferson of Texarkana, Arkansas; a number of other relatives; and a host of friends in George Johnson Courts. Her wake will be 1:00-5:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Richardson Hill Funeral Home, and her funeral will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2011, at College Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where Rev. Clifton Murray will deliver the eulogy.
