We were sadden by the death of Nathaniel Ivey who we fondly knew as "Geeko." My wife, Bernice Smith-Watts, was Geeko's sister-in-law. Her sister, Lois, was married to Geeko for many years. Bernice knew Geeko before his marriage to Lois because he and Lois had a long courtship before their marriage. We did not know that when we visited Geeko at his home in Texarkana, Texas in July 2010 that this would be the last time that we would see him.
