Obituary of Lela Mae Sledge

Mrs. Lela Mae Sledge 68, was born October 26, 1950 in Murfreesboro, AR to the late Mr. Paris and ST Scoggins. She passed away on January 11,2019. Mrs. Lela Mae met and married Herbert Leon Taylor right after high school. He preceded her in death. To this union two sons were born, Herbert Taylor Jr & Hercschel Taylor. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended the Church of God In Christ in Murfreesboro, AR. She later moved to Nashville, AR and attended the New Light CME Church and William Memorial until she joined 1st Baptist Church where she met and married her husband Mr. Bobby Sledge on September 20 until death. At her church, she served on the Usher Board, Youth, Sunday School Teacher/Secretary, Choir member, deaconess, and served in the kitchen. She was a faithful worker until death. Lela was preceded in death by two sisters; Alena Rideout and Ruth-Helen, five brothers; Joe, Perry, Lee, Paris jr, Johnny B, and Jimmy Mack. Mrs.Lela Sledge leaves to cherish her memories:

2 Sisters: Anna Alma Sanders  of Nashville, AR and Patsy Sue Sanders of Nashville, AR. 

2 Sons: Herbet (Mary) Taylor Jr of Mineral Springs and Herschal (Kenisha) Taylor
