Obituary of Rosie Lee Smith

Rosie Lee Block Smith was born January 11,1928 to Monroe and Dillie Block in Ogden, AR. She joined Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Ogden at an early age. She obtained her Registered Nurse license and worked for San Joaquin County Hospital. Following her retirement she returned back to Texarkana, Texas and reunited with the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. After a lengthy illness, she departed this life on Tuesday, July 30,2019.

She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Patricia Smith of Stockton, CA; one son, James Earl Smith of Stockton, CA; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Coy Block (Durline) of Maywood, IL and Roy Block of Texarkana, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
