Obituary of Barbara Dancer

Barbara Dancer, 44, of Texarkana, Texas, departed this life Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in Texarkana, Texas. Ms. Dancer was a native of Texarkana, Texas, and she was affiliated with Oak Street Baptist Church. Her mother, Jolinda Cellers, and father, James Gates, preceded her in death. To cherish her memory, she leaves one son, John Wayne Dancer, three daughters: LaSharon Dancer, Quartina Dancer, and Brianna Dancer; two sisters, Helen Nard and Carrie Nard; six grandchildren, Janiya Sanders, Cahari Weekly, Kimaya Dancer, Lloyd Murphy, Jamarie Antwine, and Angel Brown; six nieces; seven nephews; one great niece, Kanisha Nard; her best friend, Isaac Franklin; and other relatives and friends. The visitation will be Friday, September 7, 2012 at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Street Baptist Church with the Rev. L.B. George, Jr. officiating. The burial will be at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home.
