Rubye Mae Boddie, 97, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in Texarkana, Texas. Mrs. Boddie was born March 4, 1915 in Bethel Bell, Texas to Austin and Ethel Potts. She was affiliated with Atlanta Street/Twin Cities Church of Christ. Mrs. Boddie was a former Computer Operator in the Retail Industry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Boddie; her parents; and one brother, Vernie Potts. To cherish her memory, she leaves one son Rufus Boddie (Lillian) of Texarkana, Texas; two daughters, Azzie Pugh of Warrenville, Ohio and Darlene Short of Denver, Colorado; two special granddaughters, Vivian Cossey of Texarkana, Texas and Lisa Pree of Arlington, Texas; seventeen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and twenty-four great-great-grandchildren. Her visitation will be 3:00-5:00 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2012 at Richardson Hill Funeral Home, and her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Twin Cities Church of Christ in Texarkana, Arkansas with Milton Hopkins officiating and Valanderous Bell doing the eulogy. The burial will be at Chapelwood in Wake Village, Texas under the direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home.
