Verelene W Gipson was born November 5, 1948 in Dekalb,TX To the parentage of Mr. Tom Hooks and Ms. Maylor Wright both of whom proceed her in death. Verlene recieved her wings on June 2, 2021 in Texarkana, Tx surrounded by family. Verelene was an well known and respected lady. Everyone who knew her loved her and also knew not to cross her. She spread joy with her carefree outlook on life and she was a fighter, provider, and a very strong willed individual, to know her was to  love her, she is, and will always be everyone's angel even to the bonus kids. She was known as "Granny" or "Mama" and loved immensley by all. She is proceeded in death by two daughters Evelyn Strickland and Nichola Rogers, one brother Lawrence Stamps.

 

She leaves to cherish in her memories:

 

Husband: Elmon Gipson of (Teaxarkana, TX)

 

2 Daugters: June(Scotty) Daniels of (Grand Rapids,MI); and Linda (Rodney) Nelson of (Nashville,AR)

 

1 Brother: Johnny-Mac Wright of (Dekalb,TX)

 

2 Sisters: Pearlene Williams of (Texarkana, TX); and Lois Jean Paxton of (Tucson,AZ)

 

9 Grandchildren

25 Great-Grandchildren

2 Great-Great-Grandchildren

 

and a host of relatives and friends.
