Uncle Jesse was known for his rye humor. He would start off telling the truth then would trail off into joking and stretching the truth. His humor was unbelievable b/c he would bring up when you were children and say hilarious stuff that you did not know exist.

Uncle Son was my mother's last uncle to be called by God. Once someone dies there are so many things that cross one's mind about the one whose past and one's own mortality. Even though losing Uncle Son is not something to naturally "smile" about, this is a joyous occasion. Uncle Son finally gets to be with our Creator and to see loved ones who've past long before. He's happy right now and I'm happy for him that he's with our Lord. My family sends our condolences to Aunt Hazel, Andre, his family and to the rest of the Brown family as well. We keep those in bereavement in our hearts and hope they, as well as the rest of us, find joy in knowing that Uncle Son is ok and waiting for the rest of his family to join him in paradise.

Aunt Hazel, Please know that I am praying for you and your household. I know that this void in your life can only be filled by God who gives strength and courage to move on a little further. The word of God tells us in the book of 1 Thessalonians 4: 13 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died, so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. 14- For we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. 15- We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died. 16- For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. 17- Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. 18- So encourage each other with these words. Those were the words from the first epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Thessalonians. With that, remember to trust in the Lord with all your might and look to the Holy Spirit for comfort. Love and many prayers, your niece, Karen & Family.

Words do an injustice in explaining how much we will miss Uncle Son. He will remain very alive in our memories and admiration.
