Helen Louise Thomas, 73, was born on April 12, 1949 to Mr. O. T. Scoggins and Mrs Christine Scoggins. She finished her earthly journey on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Missionary Thomas was a member of the Sunset Church of God in Christ where she served in various capacities: Youth Coordinator, Pastor's Aide Committee, Choir Member, and Sunday School Superintendent. On the District level, she faithfully served as the President of the Missionary Circle of the F. L. Haynes District. She loved telling her testimony and encouraging young women. Whether it was in the local, district, or state, Missionary Thomas was known as a dynamic playwright and poet who eloquently captured the attention of her audience. 

She worked for the Arkansas Department of Health and Human Services of Texarkana, AR. for over 20 years and retired as a Family Support Specialist.

Missionary Thomas leaves to cherish her memory:

One Daughter: Chika Jones of Texarkana, TX

Two sons: Corey (Teresa) Robinson of Texarkana, TX and Eric (Erin) Robinson of McKinney, TX

Two Brothers: Ellis (Yvonne) Scoggins of Wake Village, TX and Doyce (Evelyn) Scoggins of LaHabra Heights, CA

Six Grandchildren: Nakeia, Cori, Trinity, Brandon, Deacon, McKenna

Mrs. Thomas was proceeded in death by her parents, as well as one brother, Harold Eugene Scoggins and four sisters, Wanda Terrell, Vernita Gamble, Shirley Danzy, and Joyce Arnold.
