Obituary of Bobbie Jean Williams
Bobbie Jean Williams was born on January 23, 1939 in Texarkana, Arkansas to the late Alice
Faye Taylor Mitchell and William Costello Cox. Bobbie passed away September 12, 2024 at her home.
Bobbie was an avid reader from early age that began with and nurtured by her grandmother and school
teacher Melinda Carr. In her search for what the Bible really teaches, she began her study of the Bible
with Jehovah's Witnesses. Because of her love for Jehovah, she dedicated her life to him and was baptized
February 6, 1965. She served actively and faithfully until the end. She attended the Texarkana Central
Congregation in Nash Texas.
Bobbie worked at various restaurants and Texarkana until she started nursing school for both LVN and RN
at Texarkana Community College. After graduating she worked and retired from Wadley Regional Medical
Center as a Registered Nurse.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Bennie Mitchell Jr, and John El Mashall; her sisters
Willie Mae Willis; Dorothy Guidry; Betty Jean Nash, and Minnie Louise Bradley.
Sons Keith Allen Williams and Carl Dewayne Williams and daughter Donna Kay Williams.
Bobbie leaves to cherish her memories brother Billy Joe (Betty) Mitchell of Texarkana, TX, sons Donald Ray
Williams of Texarkana, TX; Worthy Williams Jr. of Texarkana, AR; Roger Williams of St.Louis, MO; daughter
Sondra (Eric) Boahen of Wylie, TX, anda sister in law Wanda Marshall of Texarkana, Tx.
Along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and spiritual brothers and sisters.
