LaKeshia Harris, 36, of Texarkana, Texas, departed this life Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in a local hospital. LaKeshia was affiliated with Elizabeth Street Baptist Church, and she was a culinary professional. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Howard of Ida, Louisiana. To cherish her memory, LaKeshia leaves one son Markies Banks of Texarkana, Texas; daughters LaTecia Matthews of Nashville, Tennessee and Markeyah Banks of Texarkana, Texas; mother Connie Young of Texarkana, Texas; sisters Sharita Young of Texarkana, Texas, Melissa Coatney of Hosston, Louisiana, Glenda Lewis of Shreveport, Louisiana; brothers: Calvin Young of Texarkana, Texas, Chestin Young of Texarkana, Texas, Kareem Hopkins of Texarkana, Texas, Darrel Hopkins of Texarkana, Texas, Gerard Hopkins of Texarkana, Texas; one grandchild, De'Osha Matthews; and a number of other relatives and friends. LaKeshia's visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2011 at Richardson Hill Funeral Home, and her funeral will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Holy Temple C.O.G.I.C. Pastor Dennis Gaye will deliver the eulogy.
