My father dedicated most of his life to public service. He bravely fought in the Vietnam War and when returned, continued his service as a civilization at Red River Army Depot until retirement. He was a transporter for Orr and other local dealerships. Back in the day, he was also a DJ for different events in the area and surrounding communities, even DJ-ing a couple of parties for me. I remember going to his house and seeing crates and crates of records. When he wasn't in his coveralls working on cars, he was sharply dressed in his cool hats, starched jeans and boots made out of some type of animal skin. This is how I chose to celebrate the memory of my father. Although my father and I, sadly and regrettably, were not close, he loved me and I loved him. May God rest his soul. With Love, Latoya
